Monday - Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Sunday: 12 Noon - 5:00 p.m.


Hill Center Galleries are open to the general public:

Monday - Thursday: 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Friday: 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Sunday: 12 Noon - 5:00 p.m.

Hill Center is located on Capitol Hill, Southeast of the U.S. Capitol Building, at:
Public transportation recommended – Hill Center is 2 blocks east of the Eastern Market Metro stop on the Blue, Orange, and Silver lines.

Metrobus and Circulator buses also stop nearby at the Eastern Market Metro Plaza (near the corner of 8th and Pennsylvania Avenue, SE).

The main visitors entrance is just off 9th Street, SE.


Street parking is limited and specified for Zone 6 permits.  Vehicles without Zone 6 permits may not park for longer than two hours at green parking signs, and only vehicles with Zone 6 permits may park at red parking signs.

Parking without residential restrictions is available at meters on Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the building.

Long term pay parking is available under the bridge at 8th and I Streets, SE, and weekend parking is available at the Tyler School lot on 10th Street between G and H Streets, SE.
