In this interactive cooking class, Marianne Tshihamba serves up dishes inspired by her travels. Take your taste buds on a tour of Indonesia! Marianne will walk guests through a recipe for Nasi Goreng, a traditional Indonesian meal with a million different variations. This dish is the ultimate comfort food and is often times accompanied with meat, fish, vegetables, and eggs. Once you learn it, you can really make it your own.
Learn the basics of this delicious dish at Hill Center, then make your own version for the next family dinner!

Marianne Tshihamba has traveled the world pursuing new flavors and demystifying unfamiliar ingredients. Here in the Washington area, she has scouted the countless international grocery stores that stock their shelves with a wide range of products to serve the needs of our diverse community. This class requires at least 6 participants. Participants will be notified if the minimum is not met. Registration will close a couple days before the class so the instructor can shop for the appropriate amount of ingredients.
