In this interactive cooking class, Marianne Tshihamba serves up dishes inspired by her travels. You may be in DC for the Summer, but that doesn’t mean you have to only eat cheeseburgers and hot dogs all season….Take a trip to Mexico with these yummy dishes and margaritas of course!
Aguachile Shrimp is an essential Mexican ceviche made with shrimp, lime juice, cucumber, and chilies. The coolness of the shrimp balances out the warming spice of the chilies. Paired with tortilla soup and a refreshing marg? Say less…..
Complimentary beer and wine are included in the price of the course as well as margaritas!
An ingredients list and recipes will be sent out following the class.
Marianne Tshihamba has traveled the world pursuing new flavors and demystifying unfamiliar ingredients. Here in the Washington area, she has scouted the countless international grocery stores that stock their shelves with a wide range of products to serve the needs of our diverse community. Good food knows no boundaries or borders. Check out Marianne on WJLA, where she makes regular appearances to discuss her food and travels.
This class requires at least 6 participants. Participants will be notified if the minimum is not met. Registration will close a couple days before the class so the instructor can shop for the appropriate amount of ingredients.
