Hill Center will launch a new public affairs discussion series that will examine the many critical issues we are faced with today. We’re honored to begin with a conversation with Zeke Miller who has been the Chief White House Correspondent for The Associated Press since August 2022 where he leads coverage of the president and the presidency for the newswire. Miller will be in conversation with former AP Chief White House Correspondent, Jennifer Loven. On February 11, 2025 AP was  informed by the White House that if it did not align its editorial standards with President Donald Trump’s executive order renaming the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America, AP would be barred from access, punishing the AP for its independent journalism. Miller joined the AP in October 2017 as a White House reporter after nearly five years as White House and political reporter at Time Magazine. Miller served as president of the White House Correspondents’ Association from July 2020 to July 2021, where he ensured uninterrupted coverage of the president throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the general election and the presidential transition. Previously he was a White House and political reporter at BuzzFeed News and a political reporter at Business Insider. A Long Island native, he graduated from Yale University in 2011 with a degree in political science, where he was a reporter and editor at the Yale Daily News and a Yale Journalism Scholar. He’s an instrument-rated private pilot.

Jennifer Loven is a Partner in FGS Global’s Strategic Communications Division, where she specializes in crises, issue management and messaging and media strategy for organizations’ highest-stakes moments.

Prior to joining the firm, Jennifer was an Associated Press reporter, most recently as AP’s chief White House correspondent. She covered both the Bush and Obama presidencies, chronicling for the world’s oldest and largest newsgathering organization nearly every major domestic and global event of the time, presidential election campaigns, and White House travels to all 50 states and over 50 foreign countries.

From 2008-2009, Jennifer was president of the White House Correspondents Association, negotiating disputes between the White House and the press corps and overseeing the first White House Correspondents Dinner of the Obama presidency.
