Boolean Girl is a non-profit that is committed to educating girls to code, build, invent, and animate. Boolean Girl provides girls-only and co-ed classes, camps, online education, teaching coding, and engineering in an inclusive, welcoming environment.

Build Games in Scratch

Building off their experience creating an adventure, young coders are now challenged to create a custom platform game of their own design. Students explore a variety of classic platformers, like Super Mario Bros. and Donkey Kong, before learning how to create a platformer of their own. Instructors will teach several advanced game components, such as keeping score, adding timers, and leveling up. Students will also learn how to make their sprites jump, and interact with objects and other sprites. This class is the first step towards creating more advanced, multi-level games!
