In this interactive cooking class, Marianne Tshihamba serves up dishes inspired by her travels. Take your taste buds on a tour of Britain! Marianne will walk guests through this British classic, updated for today’s tastes. As an added bonus, participants will learn how to cure salmon! This class is perfect for new chefs and old pros as well as anyone who has been binge-watching Bridgerton……
Menu:
A variety of teas
Scones serves with clotted cream and jam
Finger sandwiches – English classic watercress and cucumber, egg salad, and cured salmon (gravlax). Plus cream cheese sandwiches.
Victoria Sponge
An ingredients list and recipes will be sent out following the class.
Marianne Tshihamba has traveled the world pursuing new flavors and demystifying unfamiliar ingredients. Here in the Washington area, she has scouted the countless international grocery stores that stock their shelves with a wide range of products to serve the needs of our diverse community. Good food knows no boundaries or borders. Check out Marianne on WJLA, where she makes regular appearances to discuss her food and travels.
As this class is in-person, we require all attendees to be vaccinated against COVID-19. This class requires at least 6 participants.
