Event Navigation

In this interactive cooking class, Marianne Tshihamba serves up dishes inspired by her travels. Marianne will demonstrate recipes from Yotam Ottolenghi and Sami Tamimi’s best-selling cookbook, ‘Jerusalem: A Cookbook’, including lamb-stuffed quince with pomegranate and cilantro. Join us to experience tastes from the book that opened a “door to a new realm of flavor.”
“The first symptoms of ‘Jerusalem’ fever appeared on New Year’s Eve: a friend rushed over at a party, breathless, her eyes bright. ‘We have to do an all-Jerusalem dinner!’ she panted…..Most cookbooks disappear without a trace. And as many home cooks can attest, even the copies that are sold tend to languish on the shelf. Not this one” – Julia Moskin for the New York Times

Unlimited beer and wine are included in the price of the course!
An ingredients list and recipes will be sent out following the class.
Marianne Tshihamba has traveled the world pursuing new flavors and demystifying unfamiliar ingredients. Here in the Washington area, she has scouted the countless international grocery stores that stock their shelves with a wide range of products to serve the needs of our diverse community. Good food knows no boundaries or borders. Check out Marianne on WJLA, where she makes regular appearances to discuss her food and travels.
