
Cool Summer Dishes: Gazpacho, Nicoise Salad, and More!

In this interactive cooking class, Marianne Tshihamba serves up dishes inspired by her travels. You may be in DC for the Summer, but that doesn’t mean you have to suffer! Cool off with these delicious, refreshing signature dishes.
Gazpacho is a cold soup that originated in Iberia consisting of blended vegetables, garlic, vinegar, oil, and more. Niçoise Salad is a French dish often consisting of tuna, green beans, tomatoes, eggs, and potatoes. It is a filling, cold dish, perfect to take on the go with you. Lastly, Chef Tshihamba will walk you through a spicy Thai Green Papaya Salad.
Complimentary beer and wine are included in the price of the course!

Marianne Tshihamba has traveled the world pursuing new flavors and demystifying unfamiliar ingredients. Here in the Washington area, she has scouted the countless international grocery stores that stock their shelves with a wide range of products to serve the needs of our diverse community. This class requires at least 6 participants. Participants will be notified if the minimum is not met. Registration will close a couple days before the class so the instructor can shop for the appropriate amount of ingredients.
