Darrel Cortez returns for the first EAST workshop of 2023 on January 15th with glass window staining! A little history, glass window staining reached its height of popularity during Medieval and Renaissance times. Windows in the shape of a circle that features radial symmetry are called rose windows. The cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris is famous for its intricate rose windows for example. History lessons and more will inspire kids to create their own rose windows for everyone to enjoy. We look forward to seeing you there!
Darrell is a fashion and costume designer; wardrobe stylist, art director, and most recently certified culinary chef. His new catchphrase and hashtag, #FoodFashion is a combination of his two passions of fashion and culinary. He is the owner and CEO of DARRELL CORTEZ COMPANY, his umbrella company which encompasses his DARRELL CORTEZ MENSWEAR fashion label of men’s sportswear. The Eastern Market Art Series & Teachings – EAST – is an ongoing series that brings artists and children (between 6 and 10 years old) together to explore a different craft or medium each month.
