EAST artist Charlie Visconage returns on November 8th via a live Zoom workshop to bring face portraits to life with objects found at home! Following a residency in Japan right before COVID hit, Charlie focused on portraits of faces. He wants to bring his fun and whimsical style to EAST in his workshop with inspiration from photos, magazine ads, and other pieces of art to create the little details on a person’s face that make them unique. This interactive, hands-on workshop is perfect for children ages 6 to 10 years old. Charlie is a self-taught artist living in Washington, DC. He’s known for his brightly-colored, funny portraits of people and animals.
His latest work can be found on Instagram @cavisconage
Supply list: Pencils, watercolor paints, and brush, magazine or picture scraps, construction paper.
We’re offering art supplies to families! Those who need art supplies ahead of the workshop can sign up here.
