Sara Lavan returns to EAST with Local Motion Project, an Alexandria-based organization that strives to elevate dance through education, participation, and observation for people of all ages, to teach kids the art of dance and movement on Sunday, April 3. This class inspires creativity and develops kinesthetic awareness through exploration of the elements of dance, and original dance-making. Founder and dancer Sara Lavan will walk the kids through different movements and have them perform for one another!

She co-creates, curates, and co-facilitates programming including movement classes, continuing education, youth dance school, creative community workshops, and school residencies.
