In this interactive cooking class, Marianne Tshihamba serves up dishes inspired by her travels. Thiebou Dienn (pronounced CHEB-oo jen) or Cheb, is Senegal’s national dish, whose cuisine is finally being recognized as one of the best in the world. With its rich, spicy, tomato-based rice and seafood combination, it’s like paella on steroids! Take your taste buds on a tour of Senegal and experience an authentic version of an iconic dish.

Marianne Tshihamba has traveled the world pursuing new flavors and demystifying unfamiliar ingredients. Here in the Washington area, she has scouted the countless international grocery stores that stock their shelves with a wide range of products to serve the needs of our diverse community. This class requires at least 6 participants. Participants will be notified if the minimum is not met. Registration will close a couple days before the class so the instructor can shop for the appropriate amount of ingredients.
