Family Style Series: Potato Tajine
Monday, March 8 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
In this interactive, virtual cooking class, Marianne Tshihamba serves up dishes inspired by her travels — family style. In this class, Marianne takes us to Morocco to try potato tajine, a simple vegetable dish with warm Moroccan flavors. Tajine is an important part of Moroccan culture and cuisine. The word tajine refers to the North African cookware made of clay or ceramic and it also refers to the stew-like, aromatic dish we’ll be creating in class. This traditional vegetarian meal is the perfect filling meal thanks to the chickpeas and potatoes. It’s more important than ever to sit down with your family and share stories over delicious meals, and Marianne will show you how to accomplish potato tajine in an hour. Here’s to more adventures at home.
Following the events, all ticket holders will receive a link to a recording of the class.
Marianne Tshihamba has traveled the world pursuing new flavors and demystifying unfamiliar ingredients. Here in the Washington area, she has scouted the countless international grocery stores that stock their shelves with a wide range of products to serve the needs of our diverse community. Good food knows no boundaries or borders.
