Join District Flow Yoga and Hill Center for a yoga class catered to older students!
A yoga practice can contribute to your overall sense of well-being, contentment, ability to relax, sense of balance, strength, and body awareness.
This class series, taught by experienced yoga teacher Justine Duquesne, will allow older students to access the physical and mental benefits of yoga asana (asanas are the physical positions we assume during a hatha yoga practice) and breath-work, without worrying about adaptability or accessibility. It will be beneficial to both beginning yogis, and those with prior yoga experience. Justine has experience in dealing with various physical limitations that some seniors experience i.e. osteoporosis, knee issues, balance challenges and stiff joints, and is capable of adapting class to suit the needs of each individual student.
Justine Duquesne: Justine Duquesne is a certified RYT 200+ hours. She completed her yoga teacher training in India, the birthplace of yoga. Justine’s journey with yoga began during her world tour, when she sought a gentle and holistic approach to complement her active lifestyle. Later on, yoga became a spiritual practice that has brought healing during a period of grief. In Justine’s classes, you can expect an easy to follow flow accessible to all levels. You will be encouraged to cultivate self-care, self-love and self-awareness. She incorporates pranayama and meditation in her sessions. Justine is a passionate yoga instructor and a lifelong learner. Her goal is to help students better connect to themselves, their inner peace and joy. She is grateful for her training and wants to share the gift of yoga to everyone.
