Bonnie Benwick’s annual holiday cookie class returns, with more elbow room! Get a jump on baking the best holiday treats. Participants will make a set of 3 easy, craveable recipes that promise to perk up your platters and upgrade your cookie-swap cred. Everyone goes home with at least a dozen cookies and possibly some cookie dough! Baking tips and kitchen stories shared; Washington Post alumna Jane Touzalin will be on hand, too.
Bonnie Benwick worked as a journalist for four decades, much of which was spent at The Washington Post. During her tenure at the paper’s Food section, she wrote the weekly Dinner in Minutes column and recipe-related features for The Post magazine. She edited The Washington Post Cookbook: Readers’ Favorite Recipes. Her efforts won honors from the James Beard Foundation and the International Association of Culinary Professionals, among others. Since Bonnie retired from The Post in 2019, she has been reviewing, testing, and editing cookbooks. She’s happy to return to the Hill Center for holiday cookie classes!
