NEW SERIES 🎉: HOUSE CONCERTS AT HILL CENTER (HC@HC)
Synae (She/They) is a DMV-based singer/songwriter and music producer. Growing up, if they weren’t playing video games, they were writing songs in their room. In high school (2014), Synae began recording cover songs on YouTube, which you can still watch today. In 2020, Synae released her first EP, “Wild World, ” inspired by Nintendo’s Animal Crossing, which brought them international attention. The songs could best be described as gamer-pop and gamer-r&b.
“That seems to be Synae’s thesis: Fight back against a world not made for you with unbeatable joy and self-love. For a Black and queer artist, it’s a notion that takes on a deeper meaning…Synae’s poppy songs take a different approach, turning inward to find their own role in the movement.” –Sophia Solano, The Washington Post
House Concerts at Hill Center (HC@HC) is a new series premiering in 2023 that features diverse and local DMV singer-songwriters. HC@HC aims to create a cozy, mellow, intimate setting that connects the community with new music and shines light on the wide range of talent that fills our eclectic city. Come into our house for good vibes, excellent tunes, and a drink or cup of tea.
