
Kitchen 101: Sushi Rolling

Join Chef Wendi James in Hill Center’s kitchen! This class covers how to cook sushi rice, what ingredients you will need, techniques on rolling the different types of sushi and how to pair the sushi with different sauces. Chef Wendi James will teach you how to roll hand rolls (temaki) and in-side-out rolls (uramaki) with a variety of veggies and fish, including pickled daikon, eel, avocado and spicy tuna. Plan on coming with an appetite, as there will be plenty of sushi to enjoy!
Complimentary beer and wine is included in the price of the course!

Wendi also holds a BA in Hospitality Management from the University of Illinois. You can find this talented Chicago native offering culinary instruction and planning events at various venues in the DC metropolitan area. Wendi travels to Paris yearly to continue to explore the city she loves and all the delicious delicacies that Paris offers. She would love to share her experience and love of food with you.
