What defines success for a food blogger in 2020? For Alex Snodgrass of The Defined Dish, it could be the loyal fans who make her recipes on the reg, her 2018 Saveur Blog Awards win, or her limitless catalogue of effortless weeknight dinners. More than likely, it’s her recently published (and NYT best-selling) cookbook full of everything we crave: brothy mussels with saffron and fennel, minty kale salads, skillet roasted chicken with warming spices, and more.
On February 13, join Pineapple DC at Hill Center in celebration of Alex’s new book, The Defined Dish. We’ll deep dive into Alex’s passion for home cooking and how she turned her passion project into a successful business—and eventual book deal. Alex will share what inspires her recipes, the simple philosophy that guides all her cooking, and how being in the kitchen keeps her centered. Throughout the evening, our friends at Solid State Books will be selling copies of Alex’s new book—be sure to get yours signed!
We’ll also enjoy a bountiful spread from our women-powered restaurant collection over at Caviar, plus a few recipe samples straight from The Defined Dish.
