DESCRIPTION:In-person Register HereThis class is a wonderful transition between Toddler & Me and Ballet\, Tap & Jazz class. Music\, movement\, balance and the basic dance steps are introduced in a fun\, friendly and positive manner. The dancers do not have mom\, dad or another loved one by their side during the class\, so this class is great for children who will be able to participate in class on their own. Our teachers will keep the music and curriculum moving along in a way that is fun\, positive and appropriate for children 2.5-3.5 years of age.

This high energy dance class is designed to keep boys and girls engaged in continual motion while they learn the basic elements of dance including positions and terminology. We incorporate an even mix of the three types of dance over the 45 minute class time in a way that is fun and healthy for active children including exercising their bodies\, imagination and singing voices!

DESCRIPTION:In-person Register HereJoin DC fishmonger and chef Fiona Lewis for a hands-on masterclass in seafood. \nThe Fillet: Learn the technical knife skills to break down a whole Dorade – a highly regarded Mediterranean fish. \nThe Prep: Master the classic En Papillote method—steaming your hand-cut fillets in parchment for a perfect\, fool-proof finish.\n\nThe Discussion: A candid “Fishmonger’s Deep Dive” on how to shop for freshness and the truth behind Farmed vs. Wild seafood (the good\, the bad\, and the ugly). \nOriginally from Australia\, Fiona has worked in restaurants and hospitality around the world – including Myanmar\, Afghanistan and Vietnam. She is a recipient of the James Beard Foundation’s Women in Entrepreneurial Leadership Fellowship and a co-founder of the Women in DC Food mentorship and advocacy group. Fiona hopes to enjoy wild seafood\, support wild fisheries\, and ensure the health of our oceans\, lakes\, and rivers forever.
