Jennifer Jones executes the culinary direction of Cosmopolitan Plated. Drawing inspiration from hours spent in her grandmother’s Atlanta kitchen, she develops recipes and food pairings that are engaging, while healthily indulgent. Currently, she can be found sharing her passion for food and entertaining around the Washington, DC area – preparing menus and teaching at intimate, themed food events.
Before starting Cosmopolitan Plated, Jennifer worked as Executive Chef at the Swann House Bed & Breakfast, an award-winning Select Registry property in Dupont Circle. She focused on incorporating Southern charm into classic French & Mediterranean breakfasts, brunches and beautiful high tea events that left lasting impressions on her guests! She also owned a personal chef & catering company, Smokin’ Pots, LLC for 10 years in Atlanta, Georgia and Raleigh, North Carolina.
Jennifer connects culture and community in the kitchen. She studied Economics and Africana Studies at Agnes Scott College, in Decatur, Georgia. She began the cultural aspect of her career in Atlanta working with Fulton County Arts Council, and later as the Director of Cultural Events & Publicity at the esteemed Callanwolde Fine Arts Center. All of these experiences play a role in her food perspective.
