HILL CENTER CLOSED MEMORIAL DAY, MONDAY, MAY 29TH

I began pottery shortly after moving to DC some 20 years ago, and recently retired from a career in journalism to become a full time potter and ceramics teacher. In addition to holding private classes and workshops out of my home, I am an associate artist and substitute teacher at District Clay Center in Northeast. As a member of a multi-generational military family (and a veteran myself), I am drawn by the commonality of pottery to every culture. In addition to the decorative ware, I also make functional ware designed to be bright, colorful and yet accessible enough to use every day.
