About the Art: Making artwork is therapeutic for April and allows her to create meaningful art that she hopes others will see the joy through which she chooses to create. April’s Dolls are super popular so be sure to coordinate what Dolls are available (the images are representations of April’s Dolls).

About the Artist: April Goodwin-Gill is an Army veteran and highly respected DC area artist. She has won recognition and awards at the local and national levels. April unselfishly supports wellness and health in her community through her kindness, artwork, and creativity. April’s ambassador public speaking, art demonstrations, and meaningful artwork with Uniting US has inspired countless others. She has been featured in National media coverage, exhibited in galleries and national museums, and demonstrated her artwork creations all around the region.

Artist’s Experience: “”My life would end without the ability to do art. Being able to do art has really kept me alive and helps me deal with anxiety and suicidal ideations. Doing art calms my PTSD and helps me to be able to deal with the world. I appreciate this opportunity to show people that depression can be handled with art. I am able to express my pain through art and be an engaged part of the world because my art helps me make it through. I am so grateful to the local community for the continual art supply donations, you EMPOWER US!“”
