Desepe De Vargas – Apparition-906
$1,800.00
A solitary, partially obscured figure is defined by energetic, abstract strokes in red, green, and white. The background’s vibrant, textured layers create a sense of motion, while the fragmented portrait suggests vulnerability and complexity.

Description
As a visual artist, my practice is rooted in intuition and spontaneity. I approach my work as an exploration of the unpredictable rhythms of creative flow. My process is unplanned and instinctive, involving the interplay between intuitive mark-making and deliberate composition. I work with a diverse range of materials that include acrylic paint, charcoal, watercolor, oil pastels, and acrylic marker. I employ a variety of techniques, layering and blending media to create dynamic, expressive surfaces. Each medium brings its own unique energy and possibilities, calling on me to respond to the work as it evolves. Marks are made, erased, and remade; colors bleed, collide, and settle. The act of making is as important as the finished piece, and I often find meaning in the accidental and the unresolved. The resulting works are a harmonious balance of spontaneity and intention, inviting multiple interpretations by the viewer. For me, Art is the process of creating and the act of making. I am a contemporary artist with a focus on figurative abstraction. I have developed a unique style that combines the emotive power of abstract expressionism with the familiarity of human form. My aim is not to illustrate a literal representation of the world, but to give form to the currents of emotion, memory, and imagination that move through me as I work. Through my artwork, I aim to create a dialogue between abstraction and representation, inviting viewers to explore the boundaries of perception and emotion in visual art.
