Description

My paintings reflect my internal world. This World consists of both dark and light parts. I am aware of the light parts that help me pass through the obstacles. Meanwhile, the dark parts , deep and endless, both fear and curiosity within me. I am trying to discover a world full of motion and movements, a world full of dancing elements. It would be similar to the world under the water where all the creatures are swimming and moving gently. I am painting a world in which every phenomena is stimulated by an outer source. I have always been inspired by Iranian abstract plants and miniatures that have been used in old buildings or motifs in rugs. In Iran I did ((Nastaliq)) for many years when I was younger. Nastaliq is one of the main calligraphic hands for writing poetry and is also used as a form of art. It is written by means of black ink on a white background. I never intend to create art that expresses a clear message. Rather, it is more interesting for me to provide an illusory image, filled with ambiguity. My works are created so it would be hard to figure out the whole story message, but easy to recognize the small details. My future anticipation is to create art that shows all species being transformed into new types of creatures. This transformation is endless and occurs long after the man is extinct.
