One of my daughter’s friends gave her this for Christmas, and we all enjoyed seeing it grow and prosper. But it soon became apparent it had a limited time showing us its lovely colors, so I was forced to steal it from her for an afternoon, The image affects me deeply, I think partially because of the richness of the color, and also the softness yet clarity of the stems, and just the overall feeling, which works on an almost universal recognition of things beautiful.
