Luke Walter – The Last Stronghold

Description

This work is about a changing city, and holding on to the last vestiges of its former self. Drawn to its raw grittiness, the scene gave me nostalgic pause for my stomping grounds of Northern New Jersey and New York City. The texture and character represent a fleeting side of DC which I appreciate, and can only hope holds on in the face of the gentrifying construction engulfing it.
