With Edgar Allen Poe in mind, I planned to design a sinister scene. But when I learned ravens were smart and playful, I created a more nuanced one with books for intelligence, a game board for fun and a tarot card as a nod to their ominous rep. A reminder that exposure can overcome prejudice. The reference to ‘Nevermore’ is a reminder not to judge without information.
