Artist Bio

Born and raised in Washington, D.C and currently living in Alexandria, Suzanne retired from the Drug Enforcement Administration as Art Director.  She received a B.F.A. from the University of Kentucky and studied extensively at the Corcoran School of Art.  She began working in colored pencil before it was an acceptable medium in most juried shows but has seen it grow in status.  What makes her work so unique is she works both sides of Durlar film achieving stunning layers of color and depth in her hyper-realistic style.  A member of the national organization Colored Pencil Society of America for 4 years, she won their highest award this year over 800 contributions. She has shown her work throughout the U.S., received many Best in Show awards and has been published in Strokes of Genius and CP Treasures and Artist magazine numerous times.
