About Sally Canzoneri

Sally Canzoneri’s art has been shown in numerous juried and solo exhibitions. This fall, in addition to Hill Center, Canzoneri has a solo show as a winner of Touchstone Gallery’s Spotlight Art Series. The DC Commission on Arts & Humanities has purchased her work for its Art Bank collection and awarded her grants under its Arts and Humanities Fellows program. Canzoneri has studied with internationally recognized book artists and has taken courses in photography, picture book illustration, digital books, and printmaking. She received a B.A. from Bennington College (1971), and a M.U.P. (1976) and J.D. (1979) from the University of Illinois, and has been a city planner and a government attorney. Canzoneri grew up in rural Vermont; then lived in Minnesota and Illinois before moving to Washington DC in 1979. She still lives in DC, with her husband, daughter, and “the cutest three-legged dog in the Western Hemisphere.”
