Welcome to Alef Art Camp with Chabad East DC Jewish Center! Based on our Alef Art Room model, Alef Art Camp is a Jewish creative space – a place where children are encouraged to explore and experience Jewish values through the arts! Cooking, painting, gymnastics, pottery, trips, and more in just 10 days!
Registration
Camp registration includes three options.
1. Weekly Passes: Sign up for a week at a time for peace of mind and consistency for your child! Plus, receive a discount!
2. Daily Passes: Need some more flexibility? Day passes are available for anywhere from 1-10 days, and you can use them whenever you’d like throughout the summer!
3. Drop in: If you need a day that you didn’t register for, you can purchase a drop in ticket, up until 8:00am the day before you’d you’d like to join!
Location
Alef Art Camp will take place at the beautiful Hill Center, located at 921 Pennsylvania Ave SE. Located just a block from the metro, across the street from Eastern Market playground, Southeast Library, and many other gems on the Hill, the campers will have many exciting excursions throughout their time in camp.
Schedule
Alef Art Camp has two sessions, each one week long. This year, camp will run from July 29 – August 23. The core day begins at 9:00am and concludes at 3:30pm. There will be early care as of 8:00am and aftercare from 3:30-5:30pm, for an additional fee.
Camp tuition includes all supplies, snacks, trips, and lunch for your child!

Food
All food served at Alef Art Camp will be certified kosher, and school-safe (free of major allergies, as deemed necessary based on registration). We will provide daily morning and afternoon snacks, and well as lunch for your child.
*For picky eaters, please make arrangements prior to the beginning of camp to ensure that Alef Art Camp can provide nutritious options for your child.
Staff
The secret behind our success lies in our incredible staff and small counselor:camper ratio. All camp staff members are CPR + First Aid certified, and take camp safety very seriously. The goal of our staff members is to make sure that your child has an incredible experience, in a safe and enjoyable way!
Staff will have background checks, and receive camp training prior to the start of camp.
