Monday, June 23 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

from June 23 to August 22 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (except July 03)
Every Day is A Learning Day!
Busy Bees Music & Arts Playgroup is a child-centered introduction to a formal education setting. When DC Public Schools is out – We’re IN. Whether it be a conference day, a longer break – like February and Spring – or the Summer, we provide a fun, safe place to explore DC, learn about our community, and make new friends!
- Safety is our number one priority!
- Learning through play makes every day fun!
- Arts and movement are integrated into each activity!
At Busy Bees Music and Arts Playgroup, we believe in the transformative power of creativity, exploration, and play. Our playgroup is a vibrant and nurturing environment where young children can discover their unique talents, develop essential skills, and cultivate a lifelong love for the arts.
Get ready for an unforgettable summer experience with Busy Bees! Our program offers a dynamic and engaging summer adventure for children, keeping them active, learning, and having fun. Join us for a summer filled with exciting activities, learning opportunities, and new friendships. Register today and give your child the best summer ever with Busy Bees!
There are 3 programs: Busy Bees for ages 24-48 months, Buzzing Bees for ages 4-5.5 years, and Bumbling Bees for ages 5.5-7 years. Full and part time days, weeks, and sessions are available. There will be daily fun and educational activities, music class, and an art project for all campers plus trips to local playgrounds and field trips (age and weather permitting).
For our littlest campers, the Busy Bees, there will be daily outings to our local playground, conveniently located just 1 block away. Our Buzzing Bees will, ability permitting, venture to farther away playgrounds (Watkins, Rosedale, Garfield) and go on field trips. The Bumbling Bees group will be headed out on a field trip every single morning.
Field trips for the Buzzing and Bumbling Bee groups will include special presentations at the Air and Space Museum, trips to the National Zoo, visiting the Botanical Gardens, story and activity times at local libraries, and more. All kids have water play on Fridays — Busy Bees play with water at the Busy Bees headquarters while the Buzzing and Bumbling Bees will head to Yards Park or a similar destination. Our kids take the bus, subway, or simply walk to all of the ammenties Washington has to offer.
Every Friday is Splash Day with a water activity and or a trip to the splash park!
