EAST WORKSHOP: “Facing Forward” Mixed Media with Keyonna “KAYEMJAY6” Jones

We are joined by new contributing artist Keyonna “KAYEMJAY6” Jones for this exciting new workshop: Facing Forward. This is a reflective, hands-on art workshop centered on intention, self-affirmation and mindful movement into the future. The kids will create a mixed-media art piece that represents what we’re choosing to carry with them as we move forward rooted in grace, growth and self accountability.
Core Themes: Intention over perfection, self-grace, becoming with pace, reflection + forward movement, & creative healing.
All materials will be provided. No prior experience is needed—just curiosity and a love of making!

Instructor Bio:
Taru Marcellus is a certified trailblazer, poet, educator, host and published author. He often speaks on topics of nature, mental health and the art of being present. Taru is an integral part of the DMV open mic scene and hosts at BloomBars every first Friday.
