On The Noodle Road with Jen Lin-Liu: Mastering Stir Fry

Learn how to use this all-important Chinese technique to achieve delicious stir-fried vegetarian, meat, and tofu dishes. Jen will go over key components of the stir-fry — including ingredient selection, equipment (a wok isn’t even necessary!), knife skills, and stovetop timing — that go into making healthy, delicious Asian dishes. (Please note we can accommodate special diets like vegan and gluten free with at least one week advance notice.)
Jen Lin-Liu was born in Chicago and grew up in Southern California. She is the author of Serve the People: A Stir-Fried Journey Through China, On the Noodle Road: From Beijing to Rome with Love and Pasta, and the Formidable Mrs. Chao, the real-life story of China’s Julia Child. She founded acclaimed Beijing cooking school Black Sesame Kitchen and is currently the events director at Chang Chang, a Chinese restaurant by Peter Chang in Dupont Circle.
