Over the last year, Hill Center has had a complete overhaul of its audiovisual equipment! Long gone are the days of wheeling in a dim projector for your conference; Hill Center now has a 10k laser projector mounted to the ceiling of Abraham Lincoln Hall, its largest room, with a floor-to-ceiling screen to match. Each of its main halls- Abraham Lincoln Hall, John Philip Sousa Hall, and Benjamin Drummond Hall- is equipped with a screen, projector, & sound system that has been used for extravagant birthday bashes, film screenings, and high-level conferences.

Family Day Arrives Early!
Every year, Hill Center organizes a day for the community. We call it Family Day, where we offer a range of free activities such as face painting, a magic show, concerts, and more.
In the past few years, it has usually been held in late September, but this year, we are celebrating on April 26th! We thought the cooler weather would be easier and give folks a chance to look at available summer activities for their kids.
Here is a look at some of the things to look forward to:
Available throughout the day (2-6PM):
Balloons by Brenda, be sure to get one of her beautiful creations!
My Pet Alpaca, where you can meet super fluffy house-trained alpacas, feed a baby goat or cuddle with some adorable bunnies!

Face Painting so you can get some artwork on your beautiful money-maker!
Turley The Magician is performing at 2:30 pm, he is always popular!
Demos from our Summer Camp Providers:

Mad Science – offers hands-on discovery and exploration of scientific principles.
DC Way – the award-winning recreational soccer club
Tippi Toes – bringing a unique program of dance and creative movements
Soccer Stars – their goal is to teach soccer skills in a fun, non-competitive, educational environment
Ms. Niki – a classically trained and GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter from D.C.
ACORN – an outdoor education program encouraging children’s curiosity
Chess Wizards – using modern teaching techniques, exciting activities, and a sense of humor to create an exciting experience that brings the game of chess to life.
And ending with a concert from King Bullfrog at 4:30 pm
Plus, lots of concession stands with pizza, popcorn and other yummy treats!
The event is free, but donations are always appreciated.
