Things fall apart to make way for the new. As trees prepare for the long slumber of winter, the life giving green foliage becomes spectacular hues of red, yellow and orange. Upon the completion of the vivid display, the leaves are discarded. This project explores that transitional state of foliage in the post autumn season. Whether pulverized against the constant foot traffic on pavement or slowly dissolving to the currents of water or gradually folding in itself from the long absence of water. Each individual leaf tells a visually unique and spectacular story of it’s return to the source.
