Jay Durrah – When the Creek Rises
$7,750.00
This piece depicts a young Black boy standing on the roff of a building overlooking a flooded street. This was the first of a global warming series started in Nov. 2024 after the presidential election. I felt compelled as an artist to make a statement about one of the presidents damaging policies. Global warming impacts all of us, but I wanted to emphasize how it will be worse for children.

Description
Sister Cousins is a painting of my grandmother and 3 of her female cousins in the early part of the 20th century in Pittsburgh, PA.. I understand the families shared a duplex on the Hill District section of Pittsburgh. My grandmother only had a brother, so her female cousins who lived in the same property were more like sisters than cousins.
