I’ve spent my career working in criminal justice reform and find photography to be a way to pause, reflect, and appreciate all the beauty around us. It is a stark contradiction to the horrors of our criminal legal system. It inspires me to imagine something better and to build toward that vision. I share my photos to remind others- especially the people with whom I work who have been through the criminal legal system – of all that nature has to offer. Its taught me lessons in resilience, persistence, reciprocity, and brought me profound healing. My photography is meant to bring those things to the people who view it.
