Kate Masters – Pleasant Meadows

Description

Kate Masters is a painter of semi-abstract landscapes. She relocated to Washington, DC in 2025, after living most of her life in the in the towns and cities along the Hudson River, including Jersey City, Hoboken, and Nyack, NY.

After decades of working full-time jobs, raising a family, and dreaming about the art she wanted to make, Masters began painting in earnest in her late 50s. Most of her recent works are landscapes inspired by local settings, done in oil.

Her work is held in private collections throughout the Hudson Valley, and has been selected for many juried shows in the region.

She is a founding member of CIRCLE24collective, and served on the Board of Advisors at Woodstock School of Art. She has participated in the Mohonk Preserve Plein Air Art Walk and Auction, And The Hudson Valley Plein Air Festival. Her work has been shown in numerous Hudson Valley locations, and including ArtBar Gallery, Arts Society of Kingston, Cunneen-Hackett Arts Center, Emerge Gallery, Limner Gallery, The Muroff-Kotler Gallery, WomensWork.Art, Woodstock Artists Association & Museum, and Woodstock School of Art.
