Ken Bachman – Asolo

Description

Although my time for painting was limited during my career as a lawyer, I have been concentrating fully on my art for nearly ten years. I grew up in this area and live and work in Bethesda Maryland. I have traveled extensively throughout my life. These experiences influence my painting choices of landscape and figural scenes that evoke memories, show the character of the subjects, and energize me. The scenes that intrigue and inspire me are not the standard views, but ones unique to each location that I believe will appeal to others as they do to me. I allow the atmosphere of each setting to inspire my composition and how I paint it, which is different for each scene. My paintings use the play of light, shadow and colors to capture the specific moment of each scene with its own special beauty and interest.
