My photographic journey began more than 50 years ago with an evening course taught by a retired Cincinnati Enquirer staff photographer who insisted that we take detailed notes of light and context for every photo attempt. I later ran a college photographic cooperative, and later still studied with Galen Rowell, famed American wilderness photographer, adventure photojournalist and mountaineer. My photos are mainly of places in my world travels that few people get to see.
