Patricia Buck – Something hidden
$1,900.00
This composition ranges from luminous to atmospheric with circular forms staggered in the foreground and others receding to the back. Textured brushwork and layered glazing amplify the feeling of movement and emergence, reinforcing the tension between order and improvisation. The result is a composition that is both contemplative and subdued.

Description
My creative method is spontaneous and intuitive, guided by an instinctive, subconscious process. I work my paintings without predetermined plans, allowing each work to evolve organically. My approach depends on a deeply associative mind, an internal compass shaped by decades of working with color and paint, and a kinesthetic sense which takes over when a brush, laden with paint meets the canvas. The paintings express realities which elude verbalization. Some pieces may be subtle, others evoke darkness, or power; yet all embody an experience which I communicate energetically through paint. These acts of creating establish a dialogue between an internal reality and the physical materials in my hands, forming a ‘call and response’ relationship which manifests itself through a tangible form. Each piece materializes as an idea, and stands as an object representing my interpretation of our world.
