Patricia Whittle – The Tree II
$500.00
This imaginative piece was inspired by Suzanne Simard’s book, ‘Finding the Mother Tree’. It reflects my long-held fascination with trees. Discovering the intricate ways they communicate and support one another through vast fungal networks left added to my sense of wonder. I tried to depict the ‘aliveness’ of both trees and landscape in this piece.

Description
My main body of work consists of invented landscapes and imaginative floral still lifes. All are borne from a deep love of something and are explorations in line, shape, form and color. My goal as a painter is to make the viewer feel something. Awe, wonder, angst, happiness or just an appreciation for the collection of shapes and colors.
