My interest at this time has turned toward abstract expressionism. With influence coming from the German Expressionists of the early 19th century who employed color, shape, line and movement in a new way. Additional inspiration is brought by study of early 20th century abstract painters in the U.S. on the west coast, in the Bay Area, as well as in New York. I am enjoying a new spark of creativity in non-objective abstract painting. In these types of artwork, you are free to see what you want to see, or discern what seems to be hidden, in layers of color and texture.
