Suzie Taylor – Half Hanbok

This collage is half shown Hanbok(Korean costume) with a banner of writings that included both Chinese and Korean. The writings represent the transition Korea was adapting to full Korean language from the use of Chinese. The split is the metaphor of history of Korea about to become fully vibrant independent country with a new language starting in 1446.
