Willard Taylor – Homage to Grandma
$1,200.00
Grandma was an enslaved African until the age of nine. She could not read nor write; however, she used the African oral tradition to ensure her children understood their heritage, history and culture. She knew her family’s homeland was Mali, West Africa and were among the last Africans to enter the United States through the port of Charleston, South Carolina.
