About the Capitol Hill Art League

The Capitol Hill Art League (CHAL) is a visual arts program with members drawn from our neighborhood, the city and the region. We promote the visual arts in the Capitol Hill community and beyond. Our principal effort is to produce six juried exhibits and one non-juried holiday sale from September to May through which members can exhibit and sell their work. The juried exhibits are displayed at both the Gallery in CHAW as well as at external venues throughout the DC region.

CHAL: supports artistic growth, especially through juror talks and feedback; brings members and the community together for opening receptions where artists can meet each other and talk about art; and promotes growth and appreciation of the arts in the community at large.
