HILL CENTER CLOSED MEMORIAL DAY, MONDAY, MAY 29TH

About David Horan

Veteran – Marines 2001-2004

My self-introduction to art was intended to just be a recovery activity. A loving wife, son, a second open heart surgery, and several art awards later. Art is a way to embrace every part of Life, Recovery and Advocacy.  My process towards creating art is much like all of our lives; not always direct, unpredictable, accelerated by the unforeseen, but in reflection can be beautiful. While my tool of choice is uncommon, my art can be inspiring. I am passionate about our Nation and the freedoms we are able to enjoy as Americans. My flag series celebrates the diversity in our country, our beliefs, and the countless sacrifices made for Freedom.

Artist Statement

My art is a means to embrace and produce what reflects every part of my life.  I am thankful to Uniting US and the Hill Center for the opportunity to show my art.
