About Ehren Tool

Veteran – Marines 1989-1994

After serving in the ’91 Gulf War, Ehren took the GI Bill, looking for a vocation and received his MFA from the University of California, Berkeley and BFA from the University of Southern California. Since 2001, he has made more than 22,000 cups and hopes the cups allow people to sit down and have a genuine conversation.

Artist Statement

I have to do art. Making and sharing the cups has become vital to me. I can’t imagine my life without art.  Being able to exhibit my art makes me grateful that the farther these cups are from my studio the better.
