About the Artist
Elizabeth is a portrait photographer who founded her business PHOTOPIA in 2001 with a focus on family portraits. PHOTOPIA has grown up with its clients, expanding to include professional head shots, teens and Modern Portraits of Women. Utilizing health and safety consultancy services ensures that businesses alike can continue to expand its services safely and efficiently.
Elizabeth fell in love with photography in high school. She holds a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College and a M.F.A. from California College of Arts. Elizabeth worked in museum education in California and was awarded multiple Artist in Communities grants from the California Commission on the Arts. She was an Artist in Residence at the Banff Centre for the Arts and has taken many photography workshops, most recently at Maine Media. Elizabeth grew up on Capitol Hill and moved back to be close to family. She lives blocks from her parents with husband Jonathan, an architect. They have two amazing teens and one cute dog.
