Martha Pope is a pastel artist living in Washington, D.C. Her paintings are interpretive landscapes that enhance the inspirational aspects of scenery. She freely adds and subtracts objects, details, light and color to capture the essence of scenery she finds captivating. Anne Shields, a native Texan, came to Washington in 1963, and worked in government, politics and political campaigns before entering law school in 1974. She was an attorney at the Department of Justice for 14 years and transitioned to the Department of the Interior in the Clinton Administration, where she served as Chief of Staff to Secretary Bruce Babbitt.
